Social Shopping Site ThisNext Dubbed 'Marketer's Wet Dream'

ThisNext, the "social shopping" site that turns user reviews of products into a social network, has just added a new feature that Wired's Epicenter calls "a marketers wet dream."

The feature is called ThisWorld, and it uses Google Maps to display what visitors have purchased around the world in real time. This brings the micro-blogging phenomenon popularized by sites like Twitter to another level: a live feed of what people are buying.

A ThisNext representative noted, "We're all voyeurs and we like to know what other people are up to," a statement that can attest to the traffic the new tool is expected to draw from users and brand-builders alike.

ThisNext already touts other hip characteristics, like the ability to create widgets that show what users are currently shopping for, dubbed ShopCasting.
