The feature is called ThisWorld, and it uses Google Maps to display what visitors have purchased around the world in real time. This brings the micro-blogging phenomenon popularized by sites like Twitter to another level: a live feed of what people are buying.
A ThisNext representative noted, "We're all voyeurs and we like to know what other people are up to," a statement that can attest to the traffic the new tool is expected to draw from users and brand-builders alike.
ThisNext already touts other hip characteristics, like the ability to create widgets that show what users are currently shopping for, dubbed ShopCasting.
